New Mojo D2 Tire

The Champ Car Rotax Kart Challenge is proud to inform you about the decision taken on MOJO tires. We have decided to introduce the MOJO D2 tire as of December, 2007.

The decision was based on our internal tests done as well as the majority of positive feedback from the distributors being involved in the testing program. MOJO D2 development is a huge step, the tire is comparable to a Bridgestone YGK / VEGA green, which are still the benchmark for medium grip level tires.

The main target to outperform the MOJO D1 in regards to handling as well as performance (lap times) was achieved, the tire handles a lot better and offers a lap time improvement of 0.6 sec to 1.0 sec depending on track and ambient conditions while still offering acceptable lifetime. In one word the perfect tire for our Champ Car Rotax Kart Challenge.

The MOJO D2 will be available in mid to late December. The 4 Hr. Rotax Enduro and theChallenge of the Americas will be the first opportunity to race on the new D2 tire in official Champ Car Rotax competition.

(The AMD/Marin Karting Rotax Challenge will follow the national program and adopt the Mojo D2 as well.)
