US legal Rotax engine numbers - check online before you buy.
We have had several customers call us to verify a Rotax engine number on an engine they may be purchasing new or used. The National rules state the Rotax engine number must be US legal number. Engines brought in from other countries are not legal in any US Rotax Challenge Series. Rotax Service Centers are not allowed to seal non US legal motors.
To avoid disappointment and potential loss of cash, SSC has published a list of legal US Rotax motor numbers online. The list contains all US legal motors from 2000 till August 2007.
