The 2009 Jim Russell Northern California Rotax Challenge is very pleased to announce that the Mandarin Oriental Hotel San Francisco will award a dinner for two at the renowned Silks restaurant to a lucky Rotax racer.

Located on the second floor of the hotel, Silks inspires the senses by combining elements of Pacific Rim cuisine with West Coast signature dishes. The ambience is quite unique, and is influenced by the journey of Marco Polo to the court of Kublai Khan. Interior designer Cheryl Rowley has created a look that evokes the great explorer’s odyssey and the discovery of silk, through wall treatments, floor coverings and hand-painted silk chandeliers. The Venetian adventurer’s journey to Cathay is celebrated in textures and artifacts, and in the colors themselves - cinnamon, nutmeg and persimmon. Conde Nast Traveler Magazine recently rated the hotel restaurant Silks as one of the best hotel restaurants in the United States.
