2009 Jim Russell Northern California Rotax Challenge Class Champion Prizes:
Senior - The Senior Rotax Champion, we will award Grand Prix Masters Program.
The Grand Prix Master program gets a student behind the wheel of the very cool FJR-50. The program starts with a Driver's Meeting, then you are fitted into your race car: seat fitting, belts, and pedal adjustment. As your race crew familiarizes your with the controls, you will be getting comfortable in the FJR-50, a state-of-the-art formula car based on the championship winning Lola Formula 3 racecar. No school in the world has a car that comes close to this. Following the vehicle fitting we familiarize with both the track and the car. You will be introduced to the track by a professional driver that will show you the racing line and reference points around the track. You will familiarize yourself with the car in a shifting exercise (each car has a Hewland sequential gearbox) and slalom. Following a catered trackside luncheon in the Jim Russell Hospitality Suite, you will begin your lapping sessions on the track, lapping the 2.52 Infineon Raceway at progressively higher speeds. Program Value $2495.00 For a full description go to www.jimrussellusa.com.
