Castaneda extends championship lead with another win at Infineon

After a disappointing round 4, Troy took the bull by the horns and made up for lost points taking the pole, winning the heat race and dominating the main event.

With only 5 laps allowed for qualifying Troy set out determined to take the front row. Setting a fast time of 49.535 Troy took the pole position gapping second by 3 tenths. At the start of the heat race, Castaneda took the lead into turn 1, but soon lost it going into the famous tic-tac-toe dropping back to second. On the next lap TC re-took the lead and extended a gap to ensure the win.

At the drop of the green flag for the main event, Troy once again took the lead into turn one and this time was uncontested the entire race. By the end of the 18 lap main event he was able to pull out a 12 second gap to the rest of the field taking his 4th win of the season.
