Several Nor Cal Rotax racers have strong results at Rotax Nationals

The 2009 Jim Russell Northern California Rotax Challenge is proud of all sixteen of the Nor Cal Rotax racers who participated in the 2009 Rotax Grand National this weekend in Oklahoma.

The highlight of the event for Nor Cal drivers was the strong showing for three of our regular DD2 drivers, Troy Castaneda, January Grove, and David Moody. Troy finished second in a nail biting finish. Troy's second place finish earns him a spot on Team America which will respresent the US at the Rotax World Final in Egypt this December. January finished in the top ten overall and first in the DD2 Masters class. She is the 2009 US Rotax DD2 Masters Champion. David Moody took third in DD2 Masters. This shows the strength of our local DD2 class which contines to be one of the largest in the country.

Congratulations also to Michael Michoff for an eighth place finish in Micro Max. This is a fantastic accomplishment for a first year Micro Max driver racing against many drivers who have been in the class for several years.

I am sure all drivers will share their stories at race #7 this coming weekend, September 26th, at the Jim Russell International Karting Center at Infineon Raceway.
